Raw materials
One of the materials we work with is high quality red clay, recognised for its distinctive colour caused by iron oxide. I’m very pleased with my purchase, very good quality plates, exactly what I wanted. I wished there were dessert size plates to complete my set. I’m thinking on ordering salad size plates for now.

These larger plates are beautiful but more fragile than the black ones. We are careful to limit time in the microwave/dishwasher temp because they seem to crack and break under heat rather frequently. We do store them in a wooden dish rack standing on the side in an independent slot rather than stacking them. However, the company is wonderful to replace them quickly so we haven't given up on them as we can't find anything that is as pretty as these!
