About the collection

Evoking the raw essence of earth, the SOIL collection is a tribute to nature’s quiet strength and the fertile power of soil. With a rich, textured surface that visually echoes the land itself, each piece is handcrafted from natural Latvian clay—highlighting the beauty of imperfection, roughness, and authenticity.

Designed by London-based Latvian artist and designer Arturs Analts, the collection draws on his concept-driven, research-led approach. SOIL explores the connection between material, form, and meaning—where the vessel becomes more than a container; it becomes part of a living whole. Clay, soil, and plant exist here in harmony, each element enhancing the other.

Created to frame and elevate the plant rather than overshadow it, these pieces celebrate simplicity, honesty, and the emotional resonance of the handmade.

Closeup of the Latvian red clay

Raw materials

We use locally sourced Latvian red clay. Its distinctive red color is caused by iron oxide in the clay. The clay is known for its exceptional quality and has been prized by potters and ceramics artists for centuries. It is also highly durable and resistant to heat. Although a popular choice for brick-making, with our innovation the red clay has transformed into a unique and durable tableware.

Craftsmanship and technique

Our technique has been passed down to us by our ancestors along with the appreciation of the art of pottery. Each piece is crafted by hand, resulting in unique and durable tableware, that’s unmatched by mass-produced alternatives.
