A Creative Contest in Collaboration with @ESB and @Manilla and
This spring, we invite you to take a moment to pause, create, and reconnect with nature through the timeless and meditative art of Ikebana. In partnership with Global Lawyers | Latvia| Eversheds Sutherland and Sākums | Manilla , we are thrilled to launch a very special Ikebana Composition Contest – and you are warmly welcome to join us in celebrating creativity, calm, and the beauty of the season.
Our Inspiration
The seed of this contest was planted thousands of miles away in Melbourne, Australia. Earlier this year, our Asia Pacific partner NuNord represented VAIDAVA CERAMICS at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS) – the Southern Hemisphere’s most prestigious horticultural event and one of the top three of its kind globally. Held annually at the historic Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens, MIFGS is a vibrant celebration of garden design, innovation, and floral artistry that draws designers, florists, landscape architects, and garden lovers from across the world.
On the final day of the event, VAIDAVA CERAMICS was exclusively featured during the Florist Master Challenge, where celebrated florists Richie Go and Lynne Dallas went head-to-head, creating breathtaking floral arrangements from mystery bouquets live on stage. The twist? They had to use only VAIDAVA CERAMICS pieces – none of which were traditional vases. The result was a stunning display of creativity, highlighting how even minimalist, earthy forms can be transformed into expressive vessels for floral storytelling.
Their arrangements reminded us that Ikebana is not just about flowers – it’s about form, harmony, and honouring the space between objects. Inspired by this global stage and the innovative spirit of MIFGS, we’re bringing that energy home to you.

Why Ikebana?
Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, is more than decoration. It’s a spiritual practice rooted in simplicity, asymmetry, and a deep respect for nature. Each composition is a quiet dialogue between the elements and their container – a reflection of the season, the moment, and the maker.
Spring is the perfect time to create something meaningful. Let your hands follow your intuition. Let nature guide your design.
We can’t wait to see your vision come to life.
